This Christmas we're embracing the Danish concept of Hygge (pronounced 'hoo-ga') here at Frenchgate. Unable to be translated into one single word, it encompasses a feeling of cosy contentment and an enjoyment of simple things. Whether you're reading a book by the fire on a rainy day, enjoying a cup of cocoa while the snow falls, embracing the warmth that candlelight brings, or simply spending quality time with friends and family. Nothing quite sums up the wonder of Christmas like Hygge.
New for us this year, was the making of the set that would be the backdrop of our entire campaign. A team of us Frenchgate workers rolled up our sleeves and rolled out layers and layers of fake snow. We positioned real silver birch trees and rigged up a backdrop of tulle and fairy lights. Lit dozens of candles and laid dozens of rugs before our models (and products) did their thing.
