Patisserie Holdings PLC, the group that owns Patisserie Valerie, Druckers, Philpotts, Baker & Spice and Flower Power City Bakery, is introducing a 50p discount for customers who order a take away drink and bring their own reusable coffee cup.
From Monday 22nd January 2018 Patisserie Holdings will be implementing a 50p discount for customers who bring in their own reusable cups across all of its brands and stores. This is in an effort to reduce amount of paper cups going into landfill; a subject which has been brought to the forefront of people’s attention with parliament discussing the latte levy.
Paul May, CEO of Patisserie Holdings PLC commented on the introduction of this offer: ‘We’re very pleased to be introducing this 50p discount to really strive towards finding ways and methods of decreasing wastage. Our customers have been asking for us to introduce an offer on reusable cups for a while now, so we felt it was time to initiate this. We certainly feel that this offer shall economically benefit our new and existing customers who purchase take away hot drinks from us on a regular basis, and believe that this discount shall really make a difference!’
Patisserie Holdings are in the meantime, looking for a long term solution for introducing recyclable paper cups, which can be incorporated going forward.
The flagship brand, Patisserie Valerie, which are renowned for their generously indulgent cakes and patisserie, very much hope that this offer will make a difference, both in the realms of lowering waste, but also economically for their customers.
