The Frenchgate Limited Partnership has today announced that Patisserie Valerie will be the latest addition to the Frenchgate Shopping Centre, Doncaster. Taking a 1,900 sq ft unit, they are due to open in July 2016.
The launch of Patisserie Valerie joins an expanding food and beverage line up at Frenchgate that welcomed Ed’s Easy Diner and The Mallard in Q4 of 2015. The circa 50 cover site will offer all day breakfast & brunch, speciality sandwiches and continental snacks, as well as the famous handmade patisserie and cake range. Customers will be able to order afternoon tea for two plus a range of celebration and wedding cakes. The Patisserie Valerie Café was designed by an in house team for the Frenchgate location.
Commenting on the news on behalf of The Frenchgate Limited Partnership, Paul Devlin said: “Our active management of Frenchgate is creating a strong customer focused line-up whilst also generating a great deal of interest from prospective retailers and dining operators. The signing of the first Patisserie Valerie in Doncaster further reinforces our appeal and Frenchgate’s status as a quality regional retail and leisure destination.”
Paul May, CEO at Patisserie Valerie, added: “We’re excited to open our first café in Doncaster and continue to grow our presence in the Yorkshire area. Frenchgate provide an excellent location for us and we hope the people of Doncaster enjoy the new store.”
The news follows the recently announced raft of new signings and upsizes underway at Frenchgate, constituting over 83,000 sq ft and approximately £2.75 million of investment in store fit outs.
Rawstron Johnson and Time Retail Partners acted for Frenchgate, which is managed by Lambert Smith Hampton’s Belfast office.
