JYSK Opens garden furniture store in Frenchgate, Doncaster.
Scandinavian Home Furnishing Retailer JYSK has chosen Frenchgate, Doncaster to be the home of its new Garden Furniture store.
JYSK of Aarhus, Denmark was founded in 1979 by Lars Larsen and has steadily grown in size over the years. In fact, as of today, JYSK has over 2,200 stores spanning 37 different countries. So you can imagine how proud we are here at Frenchgate that a global furniture giant such as JYSK has chosen our shopping centre for its brand new showroom.
Doncaster is an excellent platform for JYSK to springboard themselves ahead of the competition within South Yorkshire. The area has been ear marked as an area of particular interest to the company. This is mainly due to the ecommerce success of the JYSK website within Doncaster and the surrounding areas. This coupled with the popularity of Frenchgate within the local community makes for a promising synergy between the two.
It’s not just us here at Frenchgate who are excited about the new store opening, we caught up with Steve Stenhouse, county manager for JYSK who had this to say
“The Showroom in Frenchgate represents an exciting development for JYSK where we will increase exposure of our brand and put our best-selling Garden articles to the test in a smaller, but busier retail environment. Our Scandinavian-style Garden Furniture articles have flown this summer and Yorkshire is an area where we already advertise on TV – perfect for the great value for money shoppers of Doncaster”.
This new style concept store will offer customers a range of purchase options starting with the basic online purchase right thorough to in store click and collect. This means there is something for anyone and everyone! The store will open with a huge emphasis on garden furniture offering saving of up to 50% before switching to indoor furniture and sleeping articles from mid-September.
